EMPLOYEE ETHICS & STUDENT SAFETY
Developing Minds Learning Center is committed to maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and protecting the health, safety, and welfare of every student.
All instructional personnel, educational support employees, administrators, and applicable contracted personnel are expected to maintain appropriate professional boundaries, act with integrity, and comply with all applicable student safety and reporting requirements.
DUTY TO REPORT MISCONDUCT
Employees have a duty to report alleged misconduct by instructional personnel, educational support employees, or school administrators when the alleged misconduct affects the health, safety, or welfare of a student.
Concerns regarding employee misconduct must be reported immediately to:

Reports will be handled in accordance with applicable Florida law and Developing Minds procedures.
Nothing in this procedure replaces an employee's legal responsibility to report suspected child abuse, abandonment, or neglect to the appropriate state authorities.
MANDATORY TRAINING
Applicable personnel are required to receive training regarding Developing Minds' standards of ethical conduct, professional boundaries, student safety responsibilities, and procedures for reporting misconduct.
Employees are responsible for understanding and following these requirements and for seeking clarification when needed.
REPORTING PROTECTIONS
Developing Minds will inform employees of applicable protections associated with good-faith reporting, including protections provided under Sections 39.203 and 768.095, Florida Statutes.
Retaliation against an individual for making a good-faith report as required or permitted by law or school policy is prohibited.
FAILURE TO REPORT
Failure to report misconduct or suspected child abuse when required by law or school policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination, and any other consequences required by applicable law.
