In this hands-on, play-centered art experience, students will dive into the fascinating world of printmaking through a wide variety of techniques designed to spark curiosity and creativity. From cyanotypes and monotypes to linoleum block printing and stamping, children will explore how art can be made again and again, each time with a new twist.
Through guided exploration and open-ended play, students will engage with different materials and processes while expressing their ideas in personal and imaginative ways. We'll look at iconic artists like Andy Warhol, Hokusai, and Degas to inspire our own creations and connect to the rich history of this art form.
This class is all about creative discovery,encouraging children to experiment, take risks, and enjoy the process. Whether layering colors, creating textures, or designing patterns, students will learn to see the world through the lens of repetition, expression, and joyful art-making.
